Don't Let Your New Year's Resolution Die

Don’t give up on that New Year’s Resolution, yet. First week of February is when most fitness resolutions fizzle out. But not yours, because I have a solution for you. Welcome to the convenience, consistency and privacy of virtual classes.


For some of you, anything virtual might bring back memories of the pandemic.

Some of you may even still be using the phrase “zoomed out.” For me, though, virtual experiences were the silver lining of the pandemic. They improved my quality of life in many ways: I am especially thankful to my dance workout classes, which brought me joy and mental peace. Now, as we slowly transition back to normal daily life, virtual workouts can also save us from looking back at a graveyard of dead resolutions for the nth time.



Here are my 5 reasons why virtual classes are more sustainable and how you can use it to turn your New Year’s resolutions into a healthy habit!

  1. Always front and center: With virtual dance classes, you'll have a front-row view of the instructor, which means you'll be able to see all of the moves clearly and learn them more easily. This is especially great if you're new to dancing or if you're working on perfecting your technique.

  2. Convenient and consistent: Virtual dance workouts are easy to fit into your schedule, and you don't have to worry about coordinating with others. Just log in and join the class, which makes it easier for you to stick with it and be consistent with your workout.

  3. Save money, fuel and the planet: Online classes help you save money on transportation, as well as reduce your carbon footprint. You don't have to drive to a gym or dance studio, which saves you money on gas and helps the environment.

  4. Dance like nobody's watching: One of the best things about virtual dance workouts is that you can let loose and dance like nobody’s watching. You don't have to worry about what other people might think or feel self-conscious. You can enjoy the workout without any distractions or pressure.

  5. Dance and music without borders: With virtual dance classes, you're not limited to the instructors and styles available in your local area. You can take classes from renowned dancers and choreographers from anywhere in the world, immersing yourself in music and dance without borders. Learn from your favorite instructor, who might not teach in-person in your area, and experiment with different styles of dance and music.


Virtual classes aren't a shiny new thing anymore, they are a a long-lasting health and wellness routine. Teaching 150+ virtual classes in the past 3 years, I have learnt one thing. Virtual classes aren't a trend, they are here to stay with all their convenience, comfort and privacy.
